Qorintiyim Aleph (1 Corinthians) 15:20

But Messiah has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

Qorintiyim Aleph (1 Corinthians) 15:20

Behold the substance and not the shadow!

The set of ceremonial laws regarding sacrifices and offerings that the Father gave to Moshe at Mount Sinai was merely a shadow of things to come: the full substance is in Messiah!

According to Hebrews 10:1, “…the law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.”

When Messiah came almost 2,000 years ago, He offered up the perfect sacrifice that was far superior to all the sacrifices that had been given up over the millennia. As our High Priest, Messiah also fulfills a dual role, having “offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of Alahym… by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being set apart.” (See Heb 10:12-14)

Messiah became the firstborn from the dead, as He works to reconcile all creation to the Father. Colossians 1:15-23 says: “The Son is the image of the invisible Alahym, the firstborn over all creation. For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the assembly; He is the beginning and firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have preeminence. For Alahym was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His stake. Once you were alienated from Alahym and were hostile in your minds, engaging in evil deeds. But now He has reconciled you by Messiah’s physical body through death to present you set apart, unblemished, and blameless in His presence— if indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the Good News you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven…”

Let’s continue to fix our eyes on the Author and Finisher of our faith!
