Bemiḏbar (Numbers) Chapter 25
Mo’aḇ Seduces Yasharal (1 Corinthians 10:1–13)
10 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Mosheh, 11 “Pineḥas son of El‛azar, the son of Aharon the priest, has turned My wrath away from the children of Yasharal; for he was zealous for My sake among them, so that I did not consume the children of Yasharal in My zeal. 12 Declare, therefore, that I am granting him My covenant of peace. 13 It will be a covenant of permanent priesthood for him and his descendants, because he was zealous for his Alahym and made atonement for the children of Yasharal.”
14 The name of the man of Yasharal who was slain with the Miḏyanite woman was Zimri son of Salu, the leader of a Shim‛onite family. 15 And the name of the slain Miḏyanite woman was Kozbi, the daughter of Tsur, a tribal chief of a Miḏyanite family.
16 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Mosheh, 17 “Attack the Miḏyanites and strike them dead. 18 For they assailed you deceitfully when they seduced you in the matter of Pe‛or and their sister Kozbi, the daughter of the Miḏyanite leader, the woman who was killed on the day the plague came because of Pe‛or.”
Bemiḏbar (Numbers) Chapter 26
The Second Census of Yashrael (Numbers 1:1–4)
1 After the plague had ended, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Mosheh and El‛azar son of Aharon the priest, 2 “Take a census of the whole congregation of Yasharal by the houses of their fathers—all those twenty years of age or older who can serve in the army of Yasharal.”
3 So on the plains of Mo’aḇ by the Yarděn, across from Yeriḥo, Mosheh and El‛azar the priest issued the instruction, 4 “Take a census of the men twenty years of age or older, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 has commanded Mosheh.”
And these were the children of Yasharal who came out of the land of Mitsrayim:
The Tribe of Re’uḇěn
5 Re’uḇěn was the firstborn of Yasharal. These were the descendants of Re’uḇěn:
f Ḥanoḵ, the clan of the Ḥanoḵites; of Pallu, the clan of the Palluites;
6 of Ḥetsron, the clan of the Ḥetsronites;
of Karmi, the clan of the Karmites.
7 These were the clans of Re’uḇěn, and their registration numbered 43,730.
8 Now the son of Pallu was Eliyaḇ, 9 and the sons of Eliyaḇ were Nemu’al, and Dathan, and Aḇiram.
It was Dathan and Aḇiram, chosen by the congregation, who rebelled against Mosheh and Aharon with the followers of Qoraḥ who rebelled against 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 – YAHUAH. 10 And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them along with Qoraḥ, whose followers died when the fire consumed 250 men. They serve as a warning sign. 11 However, the line of Qoraḥ did not die out.
The Tribe of Shim‛on
12 These were the descendants of Shim‛on by their clans:
of Nemu’ěl, the clan of the Nemu’ělites;
of Yamin, the clan of the Yaminites;
of Yaḵin, the clan of the Yaḵinites;
13 of Zeraḥ, the clan of the Zarḥites;
of Sha’ul, the clan of the Sha’ulites.
14 These were the clans of Shim‛on, and there were 22,200 men.
The Tribe of Gaḏ
15 These were the descendants of Gaḏ by their clans:
of Tsephon, the clan of the Tsephonites;
of Ḥaggi, the clan of the Ḥaggites;
of Shuni, the clan of the Shunites;
16 of Ozni, the clan of the Oznites;
of Ěri, the clan of the Ěrites;
17 of Aroḏ, the clan of the Aroḏites; of Arěli, the clan of the Arělites.
18 These were the clans of Gaḏ,
and their registration numbered 40,500.
The Tribe of Yahudah
19 The sons of Yahudah were ḏ, but they died in the land of Kena‛an. 20 These were the descendants of Yahudah by their clans:
of Shělah, the clan of the Shělanites;
of Perets, the clan of the Partsites;
of Zeraḥ, the clan of the Zarḥites.
21 And these were the descendants of Perets:
of Ḥetsron, the clan of the Ḥetsronites;
of Ḥamul, the clan of the Ḥamulites.
22 These were the clans of Yahudah, and their registration numbered 76,500.
The Tribe of Yissasḵar
23 These were the descendants of Yissasḵar by their clans:
of Tola, the clan of the Tolaites;
of Puwwah, the clan of the Punites;
24 of Yashuḇ, the clan of the Yashuḇites;
of Shimron, the clan of the Shimronites.
25 These were the clans of Yissasḵar, and their registration numbered 64,300.
The Tribe of Zeḇulun
26 These were the descendants of Zeḇulun by their clans:
of Sereḏ, the clan of the Sardites;
of Ělon, the clan of the Ělonites;
of Yaḥle’al, the clan of the Yaḥle’alites.
27 These were the clans of Zeḇulun, and their registration numbered 60,500.
The Tribe of Menashsheh
28 The descendants of Yosěph included the clans of Menashsheh and Ephrayim.
29 These were the descendants of Menashsheh:
of Maḵir, the clan of the Maḵirites.
And Maḵir brought forth Gil‛aḏ;
of Gil‛aḏ, the clan of the Gil‛aḏites.
30 These were the descendants of Gil‛aḏ:
of Iyezer, the clan of the Iyezerites;
of Ḥěleq, the clan of the Ḥěleqites;
31 of Asri’ěl, the clan of the Asri’ělites;
of Sheḵem, the clan of the Sheḵemites;
32 of Shemiḏa, the clan of the Shemiḏaites;
of Ḥěpher, the clan of the Ḥěpherites.
33 Now Tselophḥaḏ son of Ḥěpher had no sons but only daughters. The names of his daughters were: Maḥlah, and No‛ah, Ḥoḡlah, Milkah, and Tirtsah.
34 These were the clans of Menashsheh, and their registration numbered 52,700.
The Tribe of Ephrayim
35 These were the descendants of Ephrayim by their clans:
of Shuthelaḥ, the clan of the Shuthalḥites;
of Beḵer, the clan of the Baḵrites;
of Taḥan, the clan of the Taḥanites.
36 And the descendants of Shuthelaḥ:
of Ěran, the clan of the Ěranites.
37 These were the clans of Ephrayim, and their registration numbered 32,500.
These clans were the descendants of Yosěph.
The Tribe of Binyamin
38 These were the descendants of Binyamin by their clans:
of Bela, the clan of the Belaites;
of Ashběl, the clan of the Ashbělites;
of Aḥiram, the clan of the Aḥiramites;
39 of Shephupham, the clan of the Shephuphamites;
of Ḥupham, the clan of the Ḥuphamites.
40 And the descendants of Bela were Ard and Na‛aman:
of Ard, the clan of the Ardites;
of Na‛aman, the clan of the Na‛amites.
41 These were the clans of Binyamin, and their registration numbered 45,600.
The Tribe of Dan
42 These were the descendants of Dan by their clans:
of Shuḥam, the clan of the Shuḥamites.
These were the clans of Dan. 43 All of them were Shuḥamite clans, and their registration numbered 64,400.
The Tribe of Ashěr
44 These were the descendants of Ashěr by their clans:
of Yimna, the clan of the Yimnahites;
of Yishwi, the clan of the Yishwites;
of Beri‛ah, the clan of the Beri‛ites.
45 And these were the descendants of Beri‛ah:
of Ḥeḇer, the clan of the Ḥeḇerites;
of Malki’ěl, the clan of the Malki’ělites.
46 And the name of Ashěr’s daughter was Seraḥ.
47 These were the clans of Ashěr, and their registration numbered 53,400.
The Tribe of Naphtali
48 These were the descendants of Naphtali by their clans:
The clan of Yaḥtse’ěl from Yaḥtse’ěl,
of Guni, the clan of the Gunites;
49 of Yětser, the clan of the Yětserites;
of Shillěm, the clan of the Shillěmites.
50 These were the clans of Naphtali, and their registration numbered 45,400.
51 These men of Yasharal numbered 601,730 in all.
Inheritance by Lot
52 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Mosheh, 53 “The land is to be divided among the tribes as an inheritance, according to the number of names. 54 Increase the inheritance for a large tribe and decrease it for a small one; each tribe is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those registered.
55 Indeed, the land must be divided by lot; they shall receive their inheritance according to the names of the tribes of their fathers. 56 Each inheritance is to be divided by lot among the larger and smaller tribes.”
The Luiyiim Numbered
57 Now these were the Luiyiim numbered by their clans:
of Gěrshon, the clan of the Gěrshonites;
of Qehath, the clan of the Qehathites;
of Merari, the clan of the Merarites.
58 These were the families of the Luiyiim:
the clan of the Liḇnites,
the clan of the Ḥeḇronites,
the clan of the Maḥlites,
the clan of the Mushites,
and the clan of the Qorḥites.
And Qehath brought forth Amram. 59 and Amram’s wife was named Yoḵeḇeḏ. She was also a daughter of Luiy, born to Luiy in Mitsrayim. To Amram she bore Aharon, Mosheh, and their sister Maryâm. 60 Naḏaḇ, Aḇihu, El‛azar, and Ithamar were born to Aharon, 61 but Naḏaḇ and Aḇihu died when they offered unauthorized fire before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.
62 The registration of the Luiyiim totaled 23,000, every male a month old or more; they were not numbered among the other children of Yasharal, because no inheritance was given to them among the children of Yasharal.
Only Caleb and Yahushua Remain
63 These were the ones numbered by Mosheh and El‛azar the priest when they counted the children of Yasharal on the plains Mo’aḇ by the Yarděn of Yeriḥo.
64 Among all these, however, there was not one who had been numbered by Mosheh and Aharon the priest when they counted the children of Yasharal in the Wilderness of Sinai. 65 For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 had told them that they would surely die in the wilderness. Not one was left except Kalěḇ son of Yephunneh, and Yahushua son of Nun.
Bemiḏbar (Numbers) Chapter 27
The Daughters of Tselophḥaḏ (Numbers 36:1–13)
1Now the daughters of Tselophḥaḏ son of Ḥěpher, the son of Gil‛aḏ, the son of Maḵir, the son of Menashsheh, belonged to the clans of Menashsheh son of Yosěph. These were the names of his daughters: Maḥlah, No‛ah, Ḥoḡlah, Milkah, and Tirtsah. They approached 2 the entrance to the Tent of Appointment, stood before Mosheh, El‛azar the priest, the leaders, and the whole congregation, and said, 3 “Our father died in the wilderness, but he was not among the followers of Qoraḥ who gathered together against 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. Instead, he died because of his own sin, and he had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our father disappear from his clan because he had no sons? Give us property among our father’s brothers.”
5 So Mosheh brought their case before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 – YAHUAH, 6 and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 answered him, 7 “The daughters of Tselophḥaḏ speak correctly. You certainly must give them property as an inheritance among their father’s brothers and transfer their father’s inheritance to them.
8 Furthermore, you shall say to the children of Yasharal, ‘If a man dies and leaves no son, you are to transfer his inheritance to his daughter. 9 If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers. 10 If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father’s brothers. 11 And if his father has no brothers, give his inheritance to the next of kin from his clan, that he may take possession of it. This is to be a statutory ordinance for the children of Yasharal, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 has commanded Mosheh.’ ”
Mosheh Requests a Successor (Deuteronomy 3:23–29)
12 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Mosheh, “Go up this mountain of the Aḇarim range and see the land that I have given the children of Yasharal. 13 After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aharon was; 14 for when the congregation contended in the Wilderness of Tsin, both of you rebelled against My command to show My set partness in their sight regarding the waters.” Those were the waters of Meriḇah, at Qaḏěsh in the Wilderness of Tsin.
15 So Mosheh appealed to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 – YAHUAH, 16 “May 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, the Alahym of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation 17 who will go out and come in before them, and who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”
Yahushua to Succeed Mosheh (Deuteronomy 31:1–8)
18 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 replied to Mosheh, “Take Yahushua son of Nun, a man with the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him. 19 Have him stand before El‛azar the priest and the whole congregation, and commission him in their sight. 20 Confer on him some of your authority, so that the whole congregation of Yasharal will obey him. 21 He shall stand before El‛azar the priest, who will seek counsel for him before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 by the right-ruling of the Urim. At his command, he and all the children of Yasharal with him—the entire congregation—will go out and come in.”
22 Mosheh did as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 had commanded him. He took Yahushua, had him stand before El‛azar the priest and the whole congregation, 23 and laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 had instructed through Mosheh.
Bemiḏbar (Numbers) Chapter 28
The Daily Offerings (Exodus 29:38–44)
1 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Mosheh, 2 “Command the children of Yasharal and say to them: See that you present to Me at its appointed time the food for My food offerings, as a pleasing aroma to Me.
3 And tell them that this is the food offering you are to present to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 as a regular burnt offering each day: two unblemished year-old male lambs. 4 Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight, 5 along with a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with a quarter hin of oil from pressed olives.
6 This is a regular burnt offering established at Mount Sinai as a pleasing aroma, a food offering to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 – YAHUAH. 7 The drink offering accompanying each lamb shall be a quarter hin. Pour out the offering of fermented drink to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 in the sanctuary area. 8 And offer the second lamb at twilight, with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning. It is a food offering, a pleasing aroma to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.
The Sabbath Offerings
9 On the Sabbath day, present two unblemished year-old male lambs, accompanied by a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, as well as a drink offering.
10 This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.
The Monthly Offerings
11 At the beginning of every month, you are to present to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 12 along with three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering with each bull, two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering with the ram, 13 and a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering with each lamb. This is a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.
14 Their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine with each bull, a third of a hin with the ram, and a quarter hin with each lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon throughout the year.
15 In addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering, one male goat is to be presented to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 as a sin offering.
Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Exodus 12:14–28 ; Leviticus 23:4–8 ; Deuteronomy 16:1–8)
16 The fourteenth day of the first month is 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄’s Passover. 17 On the fifteenth day of this month, there shall be a feast; for seven days unleavened bread is to be eaten.
18 On the first day there is to be a set apart assembly; you must not do any servile work. 19 Present to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 a food offering, a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished. 20 The grain offering shall consist of fine flour mixed with oil; offer three-tenths of an ephah with each bull, two-tenths of an ephah with the ram, 21 and a tenth of an ephah with each of the seven lambs. 22 Include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you.
23 You are to present these in addition to the regular morning burnt offering. 24 Offer the same food each day for seven days as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. It is to be offered with its drink offering and the regular burnt offering.
25 On the seventh day you shall hold a set apart assembly; you must not do any servile work.
The Feast of Weeks (Deuteronomy 16:9–12)
26 On the day of firstfruits, when you present an offering of new grain to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a set apart assembly; you must not do any servile work.
27 Present a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old as a pleasing aroma to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 – YAHUAH, 28 together with their grain offerings of fine flour mixed with oil—three-tenths of an ephah with each bull, two-tenths of an ephah with the ram, 29 and a tenth of an ephah with each of the seven lambs.
30 Include one male goat to make atonement for you. 31 Offer them with their drink offerings in addition to the regular burnt offering and its grain offering. The animals must be unblemished.
Bemiḏbar (Numbers) Chapter 29
The Feast of Trumpets (Leviticus 23:23–25)
1 “On the first day of the seventh month, you are to hold a set apart assembly, and you must not do any servile work. This will be a day for you to sound the trumpets.
2 As a pleasing aroma to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, you are to present a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 3 together with their grain offerings of fine flour mixed with oil—three-tenths of an ephah with the bull, two-tenths of an ephah with the ram, 4 and a tenth of an ephah with each of the seven male lambs.
5 Include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you. 6 These are in addition to the monthly and daily burnt offerings with their prescribed grain offerings and drink offerings. They are a pleasing aroma, a food offering to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.
The Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16:1-34 ; 23:26-32)
7 On the tenth day of this seventh month, you are to hold a set apart assembly, and you shall humble yourselves; you must not do any work.
8 Present as a pleasing aroma to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 9 together with their grain offerings of fine flour mixed with oil—three-tenths of an ephah with the bull, two-tenths of an ephah with the ram, 10 and a tenth of an ephah with each of the seven lambs.
11 Include one male goat for a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering of atonement and the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offerings.
The Feast of Tabernacles (Deuteronomy 16:13–17)
12 On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, you are to hold a set apart assembly; you must not do any servile work, and you shall observe a feast to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 for seven days.
13 As a pleasing aroma to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, you are to present a food offering, a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 14 along with the grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil with each of the thirteen bulls, two-tenths of an ephah with each of the two rams, 15 and a tenth of an ephah with each of the fourteen lambs. 16 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
17 On the second day you are to present twelve young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 18 along with the grain and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, according to the number prescribed. 19 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
20 On the third day, you are to present eleven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 21 along with the grain and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, according to the number prescribed. 22 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
23 On the fourth day you are to present ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 24 along with the grain and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, according to the number prescribed. 25 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
26 On the fifth day you are to present nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 27 along with the grain and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, according to the number prescribed. 28 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
29 On the sixth day you are to present eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 30 along with the grain and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, according to the number prescribed. 31 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
32 On the seventh day you are to present seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 33 along with the grain and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, according to the number prescribed. 34 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
35 On the eighth day you are to hold a solemn assembly; you must not do any servile work. 36 As a pleasing aroma to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, you are to present a food offering, a burnt offering of one bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished, 37 along with the grain and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, according to the number prescribed. 38 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
39 You are to present these offerings to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 at your appointed times, in addition to your vow and freewill offerings, whether burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings, or peace offerings.”
40 So Mosheh spoke all this to the children of Yasharal just as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 had commanded him.

46 And the hand of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 came upon AliYahu, and he tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Aḥaḇ all the way to Yizre‛al.
Melaḵim Aleph (1 Kings) Chapter 19
AliYahu Flees from Izeḇel
1 Now Aḥaḇ told Izeḇel everything that AliYahu had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. 2 So Izeḇel sent a messenger to AliYahu, saying, “May the gods deal with me, and ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I have not made your life like the lives of those you killed!”
3 And AliYahu was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Be’ěrsheḇa in Yahudah, he left his servant there, 4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He sat down under a broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my fathers.”
5 Then he lay down under the broom tree and fell asleep.
Suddenly a messenger touched him and said, “Get up and eat.”
6 And he looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again.
7 A second time the messenger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 returned and touched him, saying, “Get up and eat, or the journey will be too much for you.”
8 So he got up and ate and drank. And strengthened by that food, he walked forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of Alahym.
𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Speaks to AliYahu at Horeb
9 There AliYahu entered a cave and spent the night. And the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 came to him, saying, “What are you doing here, AliYahu?”
10 “I have been very zealous for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Alahym of Hosts,” he replied, “but the children of Yasharal have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I am the only one left, and they are seeking my life as well.”
11 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. Behold, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is about to pass by.”
And a great and mighty wind tore into the mountains and shattered the rocks before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, but 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was not in the wind.
After the wind there was an earthquake, but 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was not in the earthquake.
12 After the earthquake there was a fire, but 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was not in the fire.
And after the fire came a still, small voice. 13 When AliYahu heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, AliYahu?”
14 “I have been very zealous for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Alahym of Hosts,” he replied, “but the children of Yasharal have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I am the only one left, and they are seeking my life as well.”
15 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to him, “Go back by the way you came, and go to the Desert of Dammeseq. When you arrive, you are to anoint Ḥaza’al as king over Aram. 16 You are also to anoint Yěhu son of Nimshi as king over Yasharal and Alisha son of Shaphat from Aḇěl Meḥolah to succeed you as prophet.
17 Then Yěhu will put to death whoever escapes the sword of Ḥaza’al, and Alisha will put to death whoever escapes the sword of Yěhu.
18 Nevertheless, I have reserved seven thousand in Yasharal—all whose knees have not bowed to Ba’al and whose mouths have not kissed him.”
The Call of Alisha
19 So AliYahu departed and found Alisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve teams of oxen, and he was with the twelfth team. AliYahu passed by him and threw his cloak around him.
20 So Alisha left the oxen, ran after AliYahu, and said, “Please let me kiss my father and mother goodbye, and then I will follow you.”
“Go on back,” AliYahu replied, “for what have I done to you?”
21 So Alisha turned back from him, took his pair of oxen, and slaughtered them. Using the oxen’s equipment for fuel, he cooked the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow and serve AliYahu.

Yoḥanan (John) Chapter 2
𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 Cleanses the Dwelling Place (Matthew 21:12–17 ; Mark 11:15–19 ; Luke 19:45–48)
13 When the Pěsaḥ of the Yahudim was near, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 went up to Yarushalayim. 14 In the courts of the Dwelling Place, He found men selling oxen, sheep, and doves, and money changers seated at their tables. 15 So He made a whip out of cords and drove all from the courts of the Dwelling Place, with the sheep and oxen. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those selling doves He said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn My Father’s house into a marketplace!”
17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for Your house will consume Me.”
18 On account of this, the Yahudim demanded, “What sign can You show us to prove Your authority to do these things?”
19 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 answered, “Destroy this Dwelling Place, and in three days I will raise it up again.”
20 “This Dwelling Place took forty-six years to build,” the Yahudim replied, “and You are going to raise it up in three days?”
21 But 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 was speaking about the Dwelling Place of His body. 22 After He was raised from the dead, His taught ones remembered that He had said this. Then they believed the Scripture and the Word that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 had spoken.
23 While He was in Yarushalayim at the Feast of Pěsaḥ, many people saw the signs He was doing and believed in His Name. 24 But 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew them all. 25 He did not need any witness about man, for He knew what was in a man.
