And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you must walk in love.
Reflect today upon the rewards of the believer who lives in love, keeping the commandments of Messiah. In Revelation 2 & 3, Messiah delivers through the Messenger Yahuchanan (John), warnings to each of the seven assemblies in Asia. Along with these warnings, He also assures each of receiving special blessings for overcoming their challenges. He said:
- I shall give to eat from the tree of life
- I shall give you the crown of life
- I shall give some of the hidden manna to eat.
- And I shall give him a white stone, and on the stone a renewed Name written which no one knows except him who receives it
- I shall give authority over the nations
- I shall give him the morning star.
- I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
The enemy’s tactics are intended to get you to lose all of these good rewards. His goal is to ensure that You do not enter into the joy of the Master. He does not want you to get your “complete reward.” These seven promises encapsulate the depth and breadth of what the Most High wants to give us. When Adam and Eve sinned, they could no longer eat from tree of life, but Messiah wants to restore that privilege to us. However, He wants to give us so much more! Let’s be prepared to receive what He has in store for us!
