On the next day Yoḥanan saw 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of Alahym who takes away the sins of the world!“
As we reflect on the beginning of Messiah’s earthly Ministry, which spanned 3.5 years, fulfilling the prophecy given to Danyal, His singular purpose is clear! He came to save us! The story of the woman at the well in Yoḥanan (John) 4 is very symbolic. The woman represents the Body of Messiah, who has been “from man to man” (idol to idol) and still could not be satisfied! Yet, when she encountered true love, she stopped looking! We are members of the Body of Messiah, so the story of Yoḥanan (John) 4 is really our story! We were lost in sin; yet, when we came to know our true love, we stopped looking for worldly satisfaction.
Just as the woman ran off to tell the other villagers to come see the One who told her all that she ever did, we joyfully share our story so others can meet the true Messiah and find rest for their souls.
Messiah told the woman that He could give her living water; she asked for this living water so she would not need to go to the well again!
We’re all invited to come and drink freely from the fountain of the water of life! Rev 22:17 says: “And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let him that heareth say, ‘Come.’ And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
This water is symbolic of the Set-Apart Spirit with whom we are immersed when we come to Messiah. Yoḥanan (John) immersed only with water, but he declared that the One who came after immerses in the Set-Apart Spirit.
If you have not yet done so, please make that decision to accept the saving love of Messiah today! Tomorrow is not promised to anyone!
