So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
How often do you find yourself struggling to keep your desires in check? For some, this is a daily struggle, but thankfully, there is a lasting and effective solution! The Father 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) who created us and knows our innermost struggles, made a way through His Son 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 (YAHUSHUA) the Messiah. His death has already given us the victory we need; it’s up to us now to claim it.
Sha’ul (Paul) wrote in Gal 2:20: “I have been impaled (crucified) with Messiah, and I no longer live, but Messiah lives in me. And that which I now live in the flesh I live by belief in the Son of Alahym, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
He goes on to say in Gal 5:17: “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you desire to do.”
Here, Sha’ul is witnessing to us that the Spirit gives us the power to overcome our fleshly desires. He does not say that we will not be confronted by desires, but he does assure that we can put these in check by the power of the Spirit.
Kepha (Peter) also gives us encouragement about overcoming our carnal desires: He says that he “...no longer lives the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but according to the desire of Alahym.” (1 Pe 4:2)
May the Father 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 give you peace this day, through our Master and Saviour, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 the Messiah, as you and YOUR HOUSEHOLD abide in Him, believe in His Name, and do His will!
🕊 Shalum aleichem! (Peace be unto you!)
