Therefore I urge you, brethren, on account of Alahym’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, set apart and pleasing to Alahym, which is your reasonable worship.
Our bodies are the temple of the Set Apart Spirit Who dwells inside of us! Our bodies are not our own! We belong to the one who ransomed us with His blood! Because we accept the offering of His body for our sins, we also lay down our life on the altar of worship, surrendering completely to Him!
Now that the season of celebration of Messiah’s death, burial, and resurrection is over, we need to fix our eyes on the prize and not lose sight of whose we are!
“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Messiah? Shall I then take the members of Messiah and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Or don’t you know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’ But he who unites himself with the Master is one with Him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Set Apart Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from Alahym? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore esteem Alahym with your body.” (Qorintiyim Aleph (1 Corinthians) 6:15-20)
