“I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who stays in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.”
“Stay in Me!” Messiah’s invitation to His friends is that we will abide in Him, the True Vine, and stay in His love forever! Just as there is a true vine, there is also a “false vine,” one that is rotten and bears wicked fruit, because it does not abide in His love or guards His commands. The Word says that “by their fruits, you will know them…” (Mat 17:15-20). The destiny of those who are attached to this false vine is certain. First of all, they rot and dry up spiritually, so they are unable to be fruitful and multiple! Secondly, they must be cut down and thrown away! Thirdly, they are cast into the fire!
This parable warns that unless we abide in the true vine, we will not enter into the reign of the Father, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), who is the gardener who prunes those who abide in the vine. Messiah 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 (YAHUSHUA) also makes it clear how we can know those who truly stay in Him: they are guarding His commands and do WHATEVER He asks them to! These are obedient servants of the Most High, living according to His Word and demonstrating His love to others, even their enemies.
Messiah said that we become clean because of the Word He speaks! He also says we are unable to do anything (of value) without Him; all our self-satisfying works are worthless! He also says that if we stay in Him, whatever we ask IN HIS NAME, will be granted, simply because we are asking not in self-interest but to advance the cause of the Kingdom of the Father! He says that when we bear fruit, we esteem the Father, who decreed from the beginning (Genesis 1) that we must bear fruit and increase!
Messiah will reward us according to our works, which is the evidence of our faith in Him!
He says in Rev 22:12: “And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work.”
May the Father 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 give you peace this day, through our Master and Saviour, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 the Messiah, as you abide in Him, believe in His Name, and do His will!
