Yoḥanan (John) 13:34

“A renewed command I give to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”

Yoḥanan (John) 13:34

We were created to be instruments of the Creator’s love in the lives of others! There is a deep mystery in the saying that YAH is love! In Hebrew, love is AHAB (אָהַב). The first time this word appears in the Scripture is when the Father 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) tells Abraham: “Take your son… your only son Yitsḥaq (Isaac), whom you LOVE, and go to the land of MoriYah. Offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

Everything the Father does has a purpose! Here, he did not intend for Abraham to kill his son; instead, He was demonstrating that it was an act of love to give your body as a living sacrifice… Abraham (whose name means ‘Father of many nations’) was role-playing, acting out the Father’s giving of His only Son, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 the Messiah, as a sacrifice, through which He took on our sins and paid the penalty so that we can be free to live in His love forever! When Abraham’s son asked him where the animal was that he would sacrifice, Abraham replied that YAH Himself would provide the Lamb! He was prophesying of what would happen thousands of years later, when the Father gave up His only Son as the perfect and complete sacrifice once and for all!

Because He loves us so much, the Father Himself made a way for us to receive eternal life, to all who would believe that Messiah 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 died, was buried, and rose again after three days and three nights in the tomb; but moreover, that He ascended into the heavens and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, until the day that He returns in the cloud to receive His own and to judge the living and the dead.

While we await His coming, we are commanded to stay in His love, as Messiah honored the Father when He walked this earth and stayed securely in His love!

May the Father 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 give you peace this day, through our Master and Saviour, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 the Messiah, as you abide in Him, believe in His Name, and do His will!

🕊 Shalum aleichem! (Peace be unto you!)
