Deḇarim (Deuteronomy) 10:16

Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and stiffen your necks no more.

Deḇarim (Deuteronomy) 10:16

The condition of our heart is really what commends us to the Father, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH). It is written that man looks at the outward appearance, but 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 looks at the heart! (1Sa 16:7 ) When Shemual went to look for a king to replace Shaul, who had fallen into apostasy, the Father led him to choose a man who was “after His own heart…

Although David (Hebrew name – Daud) seemed the least likely of his brothers to be anointed as king, the Father saw his heart and knew that he was the one who could shepherd His people. We later find out that although Daud was blessed with the anointing of the Set Apart Spirit, he was not a perfect man. Having the Set Apart Spirit does not make you infallible; it is possible for us to sin and grieve the Set Apart Spirit–which is exactly what happened to Shaul. His circumcision had become uncircumcision, because circumcision is not of the flesh but of the heart! The distinction between the sinful Daud and the sinful Shaul was that the sinful Shaul repented and begged the Father not to take His Set Apart Spirit from him. (Psa 51:11)

This is what is written in Rom 2:25-26: “For circumcision indeed profits if you practise the Torah, but if you are a transgressor of the Torah, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. So, if an uncircumcised one watches over the righteousnesses of the Torah, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned as circumcision.”

This rightly explains what true circumcision has always been; it is the transformation of the heart to love the Father and to obey His commandments.

Messiah rightly said in Joh 14:15, “If you love me, you shall guard my commands.”

Shaul says in 1Co 7:19: “The circumcision is naught, and the uncircumcision is naught, but the guarding of the commands of Alahym does matter!

When we guard the commands of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and have the witness of the Messiah we know that we are truly among the circumcised of heart!

May the Father 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 give you peace this day, through our Master and Saviour, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 the Messiah, as you and YOUR HOUSEHOLD abide in Him, believe in His Name, and do His will!

🕊 Shalum aleichem! (Peace be unto you!)
