Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 5:2

And walk in love, just as Messiah loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to Alahym.

Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 5:2

Disobedience to the Father’s Law has dire consequences! Let no one deceive you that because we are covered by “grace,” we can sin a little here and a little there, and then go to the Father and ask for forgiveness – carrying on like nothing every happened! Do you remember the story of David (Daud), when he orchestrated the death of one of his most faithful servants because he wanted his wife – Bathsheba? He broke at least four commandments: He sinned against the Father in his thoughts, words, and actions; then he sinned against his neighbor by coveting his wife, murdering him, and then committing adultery with his wife. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) sent a certain prophet to Daud with a clear and certain message, setting out the consequences of his actions, and as things began to unfold, Daud was broken and brought to his knees. He had a child by the woman he stole through adultery, and the child became very ill. So he fasted and prayed, but to no avail. The child died! Through this ordeal, Daud learned the dire consequences of sin. He, indeed, deserved the death penalty, and although the Father granted him repentance, the consequences of these and other bad choices which Daud made, continued to play out until the day that he died.

From this experience, we get Psalm (Tehillim) chapter 51, known as the Penitential Psalm. It is a famous reading for seasons of repentance, fasting and prayer. In this chapter, Daud asks for the Father to create a CLEAN HEART in him, and to renew a steadfast spirit within him (verse 10). This is a very good prayer that can help us to reflect on our need for YAHUAH’s mercy and spiritual healing. Daud’s story tells us that there is no sin too great that we cannot lay at the Father’s feet in repentance.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.” (1Jn 1:9-10)
