A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother.
Fake friends are so common these days! But when you come into a relationship with the Father and accept to be His child, one of the things He will do for you is to shake those fake friends from your life! He Himself guards our peace (shalum) by keeping us surrounded by the right alliances, while pushing away the people who don’t belong in our lives!
Jas 4:4 says: “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Alahym. Whoever therefore intends to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Alahym.“
When we truly commit to walk in the ways of our heavenly Father, just as a father guards his children from bad influences, so does 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 take care of us, placing distance between us and those who want to drag us down in life.
Look at how Judas (Yahudah) was shaken from the fold of Messiah 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏 (YAHUSHUA), after he fell into the sin of theft. Because He was only close to Messiah for what he could get, it wasn’t hard for him to accept 30 pieces of silver to betray Messiah. He loved money. He did not love the Father 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. He became so depraved that Satan himself possessed his body, causing him to partner with the evil ones who plotted Messiah’s death.
It is written in Joh 17:12: “When I was with them in the world, I was guarding them in Your Name which You have given Me, and I watched over them, and not one of them perished except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be filled.”
Our best friend is YAH! He is the only one who is always there; He will never fail us nor forsake us; He will send us the right friends in this walk; He will guard us In His Name forever!
